My client was a chef who wanted to pay tribute to his love for heirloom vegetables. Before each session (the 3/4 sleeve took about 5-6 sessions), he brought homemade pickled heirloom veggies -yum! I’d stuff my face with delightful new treats, then get to work (sorry for the pickle breath).
He gave me creative freedom to design a beautiful and cohesive piece with specific vegetables in mind. Vegetables, especially heirloom veggies are rich and vibrant. I wanted to capture that in the tattoo, while also giving each vegetable it’s own dynamic flow. The rich colors, combined with the dynamic movement created a unique sleeve that complimented the shape and complexion of his arm.
